Our Ministries

Children's Ministry

Learn to empower your children through Christ. We are endowed with the experience to teach the children of our parish. Our kids ministry effectively gets children ready for holy communion and teaches them the foundation of our faith. Allow your children to walk hand in hand with God.

Youth Ministry

Are you in high school? Do you want to better understand your faith? If you answered yes then you must get involved in our youth group! Come by and bring a friend with you. Our Church has wonderful opportunities for young people. We will help guide you and grow your faith in God with youth-oriented services and events.

Women's Ministry

Are you looking to seek meaning with God in your life? We offer spiritual and emotional enrichment to your life. Our women's group meets three times a month. We speak about several women's topics in our community. Open to all the women in our parish.

Worship

Do you want God to bring more meaning to you and your family? Perhaps you are in need of a positive change in your life. Our worship group meets every Sunday along with weekly prayer services. We worship and study God so he can shape us into the people we want to be.

Community Outreach

At Light of the World Ministries, Church of God in Christ, we believe the church should be a source of hope, help, and strength for the entire community. Our outreach efforts are designed to meet practical needs, strengthen families, support children, promote wellness, and ensure that our neighbors know they are not alone

Our ongoing community outreach initiatives include:

211 Community Food Assistance Partner

We actively participate in the local 211 referral network, helping individuals and families experiencing food insecurity access food assistance and community support.

Free Hot Meals Twice Each Week

We provide two opportunities every week for individuals and families to receive a free hot meal at the church:

Sunday Community Breakfast before Sunday School and worship.
Wednesday Community Dinner before our Midweek Strength Training Bible Study.

Quarterly Community Outreach Events

Throughout the year, we host community-centered events that are free and open to the public. Depending on the event, resources and services may include food distribution, clothing assistance, family resources, and other forms of practical support.

Health and Wellness Outreach

We have hosted community health initiatives, including health screenings, wellness checks, and blood drives, connecting people with important health information and opportunities to serve others through blood donation.

Back-to-School Support

We support children and families through school-supply and backpack giveaways, helping students begin the school year prepared and encouraged.

Food and Clothing Assistance

Through special outreach events and community partnerships, we provide food and clothing assistance to individuals and families facing financial hardship or unexpected need.

Our Commitment

We believe ministry happens both inside and outside the walls of the church. Our goal is to continue building relationships with foundations, businesses, healthcare organizations, nonprofit partners, and community leaders who share our commitment to strengthening families and improving the quality of life in Daleville and the surrounding Wiregrass community.
